I have this set up in the back deck.i added a weighted umbrella bag that wraps around the base to keep it down and not tip over. This give us the shade we need where we put it.
I own a few standalone umbrellas by now, and this by far is the best because it had built in solar LED. I got the beige color, and it does come with the solar accessories, but noticed that the prior reviews about solar light not being included is of another color, mostly burgendy. So I’m not sure if it’s just the color option that’s missing the solar LED, but the beigh color has it.Like the other umbrellas I own, this umbrella fabric feels sturdy and blocks the sun really well, but the base is not very stable for the hanging umbrella especially since we recently experienced some strong wind and it swings quite a bit, especially in strong wind.
This patio umbrella has Great quality canvas & very sturdy construction. It opens smoothly with the crank handle with no catching or wobbling within the mechanism. The umbrella material is a good quality thick weight polyester with 100+ SPF which we love – It provides nice shade and sun protection. My husband loves the sand color that goes with our beach cottage theme and wont look all faded out from sun exposure. We also love the LED lights – they are a nice brightness, not to bight or to dim. We have a string of bistro lights around the perimeter of our deck so these are nice focus lighting on the area directly under the umbrella. I love the way our deck is shaping up.
